Melanie Boschen

Melanie Boschen is a senior French horn student studying with Professor James Nickel, pursuing a BA in music with a minor in early childhood education. She is starting the bachelor's with Accelerated Master's program this fall as well, aiming for a master’s in early childhood education with the career goal of becoming a teacher and keeping music as a personal passion. Melanie is the recording secretary and sergeant at arms of Mason’s female music fraternity, Sigma Alpha Iota, and the librarian for Mason’s Green Machine. At Mason, she has played in the GMU Symphony Orchestra, Wind Symphony, and Concert Band. Outside of music, Melanie loves to read, be outdoors, enjoy musical theater, and spend time with friends.
