Instructors and Counselors Needed for Summer Strings Camps at Workhouse Arts Center (Violin, Viola, Cello, and Guitar)

Workhouse Arts Center in Lorton, VA is seeking instructors for their summer music camps. Camps will run Monday through Friday from June 15-19 (guitar) and July 6-17 (string orchestra) with AM sessions 9am-12:30pm and PM sessions 1:30-5pm.

Instructors: Applicants must be passionate about music education, working with students at the middle and high school level, and enthusiastic about teaching in a growing program. Classes include sectionals, group rehearsal, and supplementary workshops of the instructor’s choosing. Bachelor’s in Music and minimum of two years teaching experience required. Concentration in upper or lower strings preferred.

Counselors: Applicants must be passionate about music and helping others. Responsibilities include checking campers in and out, assisting instructors in class, helping students with music, and behavior intervention. Major in music is required, concentration in strings or guitar is preferred.
