Joel Graham is currently studying conducting in the doctoral program at George Mason University. In 2016 he earned his Master of Arts in Conducting from the University of New Hampshire where he served as the graduate assistant to bands, and in 2011 he earned a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from the University of Southern Maine. Previous positions have included Director of Music at Lee Academy in Lee, ME and the Music Program Director at Kents Hill School in Readfield, ME. Graham also held positions as the director and conductor of the Robert Browne Hall Memorial Community Band in Oakland, ME  and  as trumpet instructor at the Midcoast School of Music in Bath, ME. He remains active in performance on trumpet and  trombone and has been featured with the Colby Wind Ensemble and the University of New Hampshire 3 O’clock Jazz Ensemble. His primary conducting teachers have been Dr. Peter Martin and Dr. Andrew Boysen Jr.
