Carrie Ann Delaney earned her Bachelorʹs and Masterʹs degrees in Music Education from Queens College in New York. As an undergraduate, Mrs. Delaney performed as principal clarinet with the Undergraduate Wind Ensemble and during her graduate studies, she served as principal flute and assistant conductor the Graduate and Directors Symphonic Winds, under the direction of Dr. Richard Sang. In addition to performances at Queens, Mrs. Delaney also performed in the orchestra pits of various community theatre companies.
From 2002 ‐ 2006, Mrs. Delaney held the position of elementary band director for the Sayville School District. In addition to her teaching career in Sayville, Mrs. Delaney was the co‐chair for the 2006 Suffolk County Music Educators Association All‐County Band Festival and taught woodwind lessons privately across Long Island, holding memberships in Women Band Directors International (WBDI), and Music Educators National Conference (MENC). Mrs. Delaney is currently pursuing her Doctorate of Arts in Higher Education at GMU.
