Biography

Ms. Emily Craine is the Recruitment and Audition Coordinator for the Dewberry School of Music. She holds a Master of Arts in Arts Management and a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Mason.

Ms. Craine has most recently served as the Manager of Music Education and Community Engagement for the Jacksonville Symphony, Florida.She oversaw the Jacksonville Symphony’s six youth orchestras, coordinated music education programs, organized auditions, maintained the scholarship database, and assisted in the organization’s diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.

During her time at Mason, Ms. Craine held several leadership roles including Artist Services Assistant for the Center for the Arts, Mason Wind Symphony Manager and Librarian, and Marketing Intern for the School of Music. She also held principal clarinet roles at Mason in the Wind Symphony, Symphony Orchestra, Symphonic Band, and Clarinet Choir. She now continues to perform with the Fairfax Wind Symphony.

Additionally, she completed a semester-long internship at The Kennedy Center as the Operations Intern for the National Symphony Orchestra and served in many roles with the Sewanee Summer Music Festival.

Ms. Craine is excited to return to her alma mater and join Mason’s Dewberry School of Music administrative team.
