Our Church’s Handbell Director is on sabbatical while pursuing an advanced degree (while also teaching elementary school music full-time); she plans to return in the Fall of 2024.
Position Description: Directs Handbell Choir practice each Monday evening (from 7:15 – 9:00) and during worship service one Sunday morning each month (8:45 -approximately 11:15; handbell choir generally plays three pieces during the service). Employment period runs from Fall 2022 through mid-June 2023 and September 2023 through mid-June 2024.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Applicant must have thorough knowledge of musical notation and ability to read and interpret a musical score and conduct rehearsals. Additionally, prior experience in ringing in, or directing, a handbell choir would be a plus.
Compensation: $3,500 per annum
