Kennedy Center Music on a Student Budget

Posted on 10.03.2017 by Darden

The SHIFT Festival, presented by the Kennedy Center and Washington Performing Arts, brings together four orchestras from across the country to celebrate innovation in orchestral programming. Selected from a large pool of applications, the Boulder Philharmonic, North Carolina Symphony, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, and the Knights were all chosen not only for their high level of symphonic artistry, but based on their high level of community engagement as well. With their festival residency they’ll be bringing a taste of their hometowns to DC!

I wanted to personally extend an offer for your students to attend any of the SHIFT Festival performance at the Kennedy Center. All SHIFT concerts are extremely accessible—the entire Concert Hall is priced at $25 per ticket (even the Box Tier!), making these performances a great way to experience top quality artistry on a budget. To sweeten the deal, I’ve created a special offer* that will allow your students to purchase tickets with no handling fees. Check out the links below to access this deal, or use discount code 254060 online!

* Offer valid for all available sections. Offer subject to availability.  Not valid in combination with any other offer.  Not valid on previously purchased tickets. Offer may be withdrawn at any time.

Below you’ll find the schedule of Concert Hall performances in the festival. The full festival calendar (with many free events) is also available at www.SHIFTfestival.org.
