Childhood Music Teacher – Washington Conservatory of Music

Posted on 14.10.2019 by Darden

Washington Conservatory of Music is looking for an excellent teacher for two classes of early childhood music. We run a program called Tapestry Music – a grant-funded program providing free music classes for children of immigrant families, ages 3 – 5, who live in communities of the Montgomery Housing Partnership (a non-profit providing affordable housing) in Silver Spring and Takoma Park.

Our immediate need is for a teacher for weekly class at each of two sites listed below: Great Hope Homes Community Center and Glenville Rd. Community Center.

The classes meet Tues. through Thursday (Great Hope in the morning, Glenville in the afternoon) but the teacher would be able to pick which day to teach. The schedule can be arranged by agreement between the teacher, WCM and MHP.

Compensation is $110 per week for the two classes: $50 for 45 minutes for the first, and $60 for 45 minutes for the second class on the same day.
