Performance Opportunities: Summer Programs

Summer performance programs are offered through the Potomac Music Academy at George Mason University. Programs include:

  • Chamber Music Connection, for advanced string players from the middle school through collegiate level
  • International Euphonium and Tuba Competition, for solo musicians and quartets from the student through virtuoso level
  • Woodwind Camp, for beginners through advanced wind players
  • Choral Conductors Institute, for conductors wishing to learn new stylistic and expressive techniques
  • Summer Symphonic Honor Bands, featuring separate ensembles of advanced high school musicians and rising high school freshmen
  • Piano Pedagogy Seminar, for piano teachers and college students seeking specialized training in piano pedagogy
  • Jazz Connection, featuring masterclasses, jam sessions, a big band and smaller combos for all ages and levels of serious jazz musicians
