Ensemble da Camera of Washington

Founded in 1990, the Ensemble da Camera of Washington is among the country’s finest ensembles in its configuration. These three internationally acclaimed musicians come from Russia, Germany and Brazil and together they have performed throughout the United States to outstanding reviews. Admired for their remarkable homogeneity, style and virtuosity, their programs include works covering 4 centuries of music from solo works to duos and trios. The Ensemble also performs with guest artists, which further expands their repertoire.
Their recordings for the Vernissage Records label were received with unanimous praise from radio and print critics among them, WETA, Washington Post, Fanfare Magazine, The Clarinet Magazine, Classical Pulse, High Performance Magazine and The American Record Guide.
The Ensemble also has commissioned new works for its combination and they have premiered trios by the American composers Richard Faith and Michael Hersch and gave the Washington premiere of the Trio “Leaves From an Autumn Album” by Russian composer R. Riabov. In 2012 they will present the American premiere of Dina Smorganskaia’s “Triptich”.
