Grand Piano Celebration Concert

The program on September 16th will feature International Steinway Artist Linda Apple Monson performing an exciting new solo piano work by Mason Faculty Composer Dr. Glenn Smith. (The composition is written for and dedicated to Monson.) In addition, Monson will collaborate in performance with outstanding faculty colleagues, including duo-piano works by Shostakovich and Khachaturian with concert pianist Anna Balakerskaia; works by Wolf, Strauss, and Puccini with coloratura soprano Lisa Berger; and compositions by Handel and Marvin with trumpet virtuoso Dennis Edelbrock. In addition, the program will showcase several exceptionally talented student pianists in Mason’s School of Music who are recipients of scholarship support. They will perform works by Bach, Rachmaninoff, Chopin, Liszt, Gershwin, and Ginastera.
PARKING:
Mason Pond Parking Deck
Two entrances to the Mason Pond Parking Deck are shown above.
Either entrance may be used: Aquia Creek Lane or Mason Pond Drive.
Use stairs or elevators to exit on Level 3, and as you exit the garage,
you will walk straight ahead, across Aquia Creek Lane to the Harris Theatre doors.
NOTE: Mason Pond parking rates begin at $3 for 1 hour, with a maximum of $14 per day.

4 hours = $9.00
