How to Apply

To be accepted to the School of Music, one must complete an application for admission to George Mason University, as well as completing the requirements for admission to the School of Music (audition, portfolio, etc.). To apply for an audition, the School of Music requires a completed application to the University Admissions department (this can be done simultaneously with an audition application).

School of Music Scholarships

Students wishing to be eligible for scholarships through the School of Music must submit their application in its entirety by March 1. Scholarships awarded by the School of Music are based on the completed scholarship application, and by the entrance audition performed by the applicant.

All School of Music awards will be distributed April 1.
