MMT (Music Movement Technology) in Concert is an innovative company
that blends the talents of composer, choreographer, musician, dancer, and computer
technologist to creating new works for the stage. This is the fourth work
that they have premiered.

The program will feature International Steinway Artist Linda Apple Monson performing an exciting new solo piano work by Mason Faculty Composer Dr. Glenn Smith. (The composition is written for and dedicated to Monson.) In addition, Monson will collaborate in performance with outstanding faculty colleagues, including duo-piano works by Shostakovich and Khachaturian with concert pianist Anna Balakerskaia; works by Wolf, Strauss, and Puccini with coloratura soprano Lisa Berger; and compositions by Handel and Marvin with trumpet virtuoso Dennis Edelbrock. In addition, the program will showcase several exceptionally talented student pianists in Mason’s School of Music who are recipients of scholarship support. They will perform works by Bach, Rachmaninoff, Chopin, Liszt, Gershwin, and Ginastera.
